Alice Malcolm, BS, General Manager,

Alice Malcolm, BS, General Manager, is responsible for the front desk and office. She does everything from greeting clients, assigning appointments to ordering supplies. She is the multitasker that takes care of everything Bindu.  She has a Bachelor of Science in History is a retired United States Air Force veteran with 20-years of Active Duty service (2000) and 16-years of civilian service (2016) for a total of 36 continuous years.  She retired as a GS-12 after having been the only black female Historian to have completed all of the History training programs and working in all three fields (Archivist, Writer-editor and Historian).  She has also earned a USAF Archivist Technical Certificate in 2002; And, a USAF History Technical Certificate in 2007 and graduated at the top of her class.  Her insightfulness makes everything better from calming a crying baby to soothing a worrying parent to helping clients get the best care The Bindu Institute has to offer.

Ms. Malcolm has a Bachelor of Science degree in History from Louisiana Tech University at Ruston Louisiana.  She has also earned a USAF Archivist Technical Certificate in 2002; And, a USAF History Technical Certificate in 2007 and graduated at the top of her class.

 

She had various assignments including two in West Germany for a total of nine years.  She’s been stationed in Arizona, Louisiana and Florida (twice – once active duty and as a civil servant.)

 

She has won numerous USAF awards and decorations. She is an award winner of the coveted USAF Civilian Meritorious Service Medal. She was previously a member of The Caddo Parish Girl Scout Council Board of Directors as the 1st Vice President where she volunteered countless hours within the local Girl Scouts group and oversaw $1.8 M in cookie sales. And, has championed the National and local MS Society and participated in various of their annual events including fundraising and 5-K walks.
