Trinity Ellis, MS, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Bindu Institute, responsible for overall operation and decision-making authority of the company.  She has been with The Bindu Institute since opening day in October of 2014.  Additionally, she provides counseling services to individuals and families.

 

She has a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University.  She completed her internship at Twelve Oaks Recovery, a drug and alcohol treatment center. Her experience also includes working at Families Count, a company who received cases referred by the Department of Children and Families, which entailed circumventing high-risk children from being considered for removal from family.  She also has experience working with clients with traumatic brain injuries, helping them to develop life skills and rehabilitation needs. She has had additional training in Maternal Mental Health and Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (such as Trichotillomania).  

 

Her passion includes providing parents with nurturing-parenting skills – helping them to gain a stronger relationship and bond with their child.  She also enjoys counseling minors with behavior and emotional issues, teaching various coping skills, assertiveness training, anger management, social skills, anxiety, and unresponsiveness to parents.

 

She takes a mindfulness-based approach with her clients, utilizing many effective approaches, including cognitive-behavioral, behavioral, solution-focused, play therapy, and/or family systems therapy approach.

 

Growing up as a military dependent and married to military veteran, she has first-hand experience and understanding of military lifestyle and culture.
