Karisa works as a Community Support Specialist in the Temple, Texas area (about midway between Austin and Waco) and has been with the company since June of 2021.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Tennessee Technological University and is currently enrolled in Texas A&M University Central Texas in a graduate level Mental Health Counseling program.

Prior to working at The Bindu Institute, she worked as a Case Manager for homeless veterans for 5 years and is an Army National Guard Veteran.  Through these experiences, she is well equipped to work and relate to the warriors’ she works with.  She has a knack for networking in the community and has a passion for helping veterans achieve their goals.

 

She loves crafting of all kinds and often does this with her current warrior. She is also interested in anything from knitting and quilting to candle and soap making.
