Jennifer Bennett, MA, Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern, earned her master’s degree in Psychology at the University of West Florida.

 

Jennifer has worked with both adolescents and adults since completing her education. She spent a year as an intern at the University of West Florida counseling center doing individual and group counseling along with biofeedback and community outreach. She has also worked with adolescents at two local high schools through CDAC Behavioral Healthcare doing individual and group counseling.

Jennifer is an LGBTQ+, non-religious therapist (pronouns: she/her). She takes a holistic approach to mental health by looking at overall wellness in addition to mental health difficulties. Jennifer works with ages 10 and up, with a specialty in working with adolescents and LGBTQ+ individuals. She utilizes mindfulness practices and biofeedback along with traditional therapies. Jennifer uses a variety of counseling techniques to tailor treatment for each client utilizing her skills with cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
