Corinne Lavin, Ed.S.

Corinne Lavin is a Register Mental Health Counseling Intern. She received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology in 2021 and her Ed.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2024, both from the University of South Carolina. In addition, she also received a certificate in play therapy.

           

Corinne has worked in schools providing mental health services to children and adolescents using play and the creative arts. After graduation, Corinne transitioned to private practice to complete her internship hours and joined the Bindu team in 2024. Corinne works with children, adolescents and young adults. Corinne has experience working with and providing treatment to people with anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, grief and loss, trauma and building self-esteem, developing coping skills, emotional regulation, stress management and life transitions.

Corinne takes a collaborative approach within the counseling process to foster agency and empowerment for her clients. She utilizes non-directive and directive play therapy, as well as the creative arts, when working with children and adolescents. In addition, she incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, individual emotion focused therapy and solution focused interventions. Corinne is committed to creating a safe, healing space to help support her clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.
