Kellie Brown-Stockdale, PhD

Kellie Stockdale is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern and an experienced 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher.  She graduated with her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Norfolk State University and has a PhD in Philosophy of Psychology from Capella University.  

Her experience has been working with military service members with PTSD, couples and families as well as trauma victims of sexual assault and human trafficking. 


She uses a trauma informed and mindfulness approach when working with clients. In addition, she utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, crisis counseling interventions and one on one mentoring. She believes in engaging in a collaborative process that is client centered and empowering. Healing and growth occur within a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship.


Practice Areas:

Marriage counseling, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD and Grief/loss.
