Shantone Davenport, MS, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the Clinical Director/Clinical Qualified Supervisor.  She is responsible for supervising the registered mental health counseling interns.  Additionally, she provides counseling services to adolescents.

 

She has a master’s degree in human services with a specialization in Mental Health Counseling.  She is currently continuing her education to get her doctoral degree in Psychology.  Her experience includes working with addictions, school populations, pregnant moms, and life coaching.  She has worked as a counselor since 2014, discovering her preference for working with the adolescent population.  Additionally, she worked at Twelve Oaks Recovery (alcohol and drug treatment facility).

 

She enjoys working with individuals, adolescents, and families.  She employs a direct approach with teens, focusing on unconditional positive regard and understanding.  She uses tailored approaches for each client, appropriate for their unique path to emotional health, wholeness, personal empowerment, and improved relationship with others.  Her methods include journaling, expressive art, dialectical and cognitive behavior therapy to focus on solving current problems and changing unhelpful thought patterns.
