John Schneider, MS

John Schneider is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. He joined the Bindu team in January of 2025. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Anderson College in Indiana in 1981. For over 30 years, John was a leader at Fortune 100 companies, midsize companies, and several startups. Within these positions, he cherished the opportunity to help individuals and teams reach their full potential. After retiring, John sought a new way to help others, which led him to return to school and earn his Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling. He graduated with distinction from Capella University in December 2024.
John has experience providing treatment to individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and stress from life changes/transitions such as divorce, “empty-nesting,” and retirement. John is a trained Celebrate Recovery leader and has experience leading men’s groups focused on addiction/recovery and spiritual growth.
John brings a unique perspective to helping others by combining his years of business leadership experience, mental health counseling training, and personal life experiences. He creates an empathic, supportive, and structured environment in which others can explore and address the issues that bring them to therapy. Utilizing evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Behavioral Activation, he develops an individualized approach to help each person meet their therapeutic goals for personal and relational growth, resilience, and improved mental health and well-being.
