Amy, Community Support Specialist in the Conroe, Texas area, has worked with The Bindu Institute since May of 2022.  She received a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI.

She has over 20 years' experience in the mental health field as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).  During the pandemic, she left the corporate world and began contracting as a CTRS.  Shortly thereafter, she joined The Bindu team.

Her resourcefulness, creativity, and empathy for individuals has helped her succeed in her career and as a person; ultimately giving her the tools she needs to work with wounded veterans.

 

She was born and raised in Nebraska (yes, she is a die-hard Husker football fan) and spent 20 years in the mountains of Colorado but is now learning to navigate life in warmer climate.  She loves to swim, go to the beach, year-around drag racing, and walking in her neighborhood.
