Carol currently serves as a Community Support Specialist in the Livingston, Texas community and has worked with The Bindu Institute since April of 2022.  She earned an Associate's in Computer Science at Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies (Education) from Sam Houston State University, and a Master's in Therapeutic Recreation from Texas State University. 

 

She served in the United States Air Force as a Computer Programmer.  Upon discharge, she began working in the education industry, working as a math and computer teacher for over 15 years with various age groups (junior high, high school, and post-secondary levels).  She taught in regular education, inclusion, and special education classrooms.  Upon completion of her master's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, she worked as a Recreational Therapist in a psychiatric hospital setting.

She enjoys outdoor sports such as hiking, kayaking, and rock climbing.  She also dabbles in arts such as drawing, painting, and cake decorating.  She loves to drive around her Jeep.
