Mitchell currently serves as a Community Support Specialist in the Jacksonville, Florida community and has worked with the Bindu Institute since August of 2020.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Salem State University and his Master of Arts in Homeland Security- Terrorism Studies from American Military University. Mitch has had extensive military experience. He retired as a Lt Colonel in the Marine Corps after serving as an enlisted member and officer for a combined 32 years and worked in a multitude of different positions; including 16 months in Iraq. He also worked as a Border Patrol Agent and later retired for a second time as a Federal Air Marshall. 

 

Mitch is married with four adult children. He enjoys golfing and tending to his chickens and Doberman. His good leadership and management skills helps to empower the veterans that he thoroughly enjoys working with and hopes he can encourage independence and joy in their lives.
